Having done that, all you have to do is ask ‘how long will the commute be’ or ‘how long will it take to get to work’ and the smart assistant will have the answer ready for you.
This is a useful feature because people from the other end will hear your message loud and clear and have the option of responding. There are many switches and sockets that are smart; some of them do not require a hub for control but just an application. The Google Home Mini allows you to control your switches and plugs, whether you are around or away. With some smart switches like the WeMo smart plug, you are able to switch your appliances on with your voice. You can link your Google Home Mini to the thermostat to alter temperatures within your house and other settings as well. The Home Mini works well with thermostats such as the Ecobee 5th Generation.

If you use a bridge, also check the Wi-Fi network of the bridge. Using nothing but voice commands, it’s possible to start up a video of your choice on YouTube or Netflix. You can also search for something less specific, such as a recipe video guide, and Google will send a video result straight to your Chromecast. What can the Google Home Mini do?
Those devices won’t be of much use without google connectivity. I’d just factory wipe it all and either donate it or sell it cheap to a friend. The two biggest differences between the Google Home and the Google Home Mini are size and price. The Home Mini is significantly smaller and fades more readily into your home decor, and it also costs a lot less. The Home Mini can also do everything the regular Google Home can do, but the larger device does provide richer sound that does a much better job filling a room.
If you’re one of them, you can broadcast a message to all Google Home speakers by saying something like, “Hey Google, broadcast that it’s time to go”. You can use Google’s smart speakers like an intercom system, which means you don’t have to go upstairs to let the kids know it’s time to go or yell like a crazy person. I love this feature, because so many of my days are jam packed. If you have a TV that has Chromecast plugged in or built-in, you can just ask the Mini to play a show. Because we live in Canada, and the weather ranges from two feet of snowfall to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, checking the weather is pretty important to us. Seems like a lot of people love Google Mini and Stranger Things, with our video racking up over 17,000 views.
One of my favorite Google Home features is its ability to double up as a broadcaster. With your Assistant on your smartphone and all you have to say is “Broadcast” followed by the message. However, at the end of the day, these are tasks that you’d expect out of a smart speaker by default, especially when it’s made by Google. Thankfully, the Google Home Mini is much more just a smart speaker.
Whenever you're running out of meal ideas, you can turn to your smart speaker and ask, "OK Google, find me a recipe for pasta." Probably one of the best features Google Nest has is its slew of party games. There's the Rock Paper Scissors, Party Card Game, Magic Radio's 100% Christmas Quiz, and Number Elf, among many others. You can also get your fortune read with games like Arnold the Fortune Teller, My Marriage Age, and Crystal Ball.
